West Best Foods, Inc. was established in 1982 by Mario and Socorro Campisi as a small-scale manufacturing startup about a mile from the famous Las Vegas Strip.  Their idea was to bring the traditional foods of Italy and Mexico they had grown up with to the local hotels and casinos.  They had no desire to make generic, factory-style foods, though.  They wanted customers to taste the same authentic meals they enjoyed in their home countries, and brought all their family recipes to the table.

As the company grew, it quickly gained a reputation for making quality hand-crafted foods with a distinct homemade flair.  After a few years, Mario and Socorro took over the industrial building that housed their original operation.  They went from selling to just a handful of companies to supplying signature entrees to some of the largest hotels and casinos in the world.

In 2020, West Best Foods completed construction on a new two-story warehouse-and-freezer building adjacent to the existing property, a major milestone as it more than doubled the company's operating capacity.

Today, the company is still privately owned and operated by several generations of the Campisi Family.  It is a supplier of frozen entrees, hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and other related food items not just for the Las Vegas hotel and casino industries, but for most foodservice-dependent operations in the region.
